Disposable respirators
Disposable respirators that filter particles, and are commonly known as “respiratory
protection face masks”, protect their wearers against solid and liquid aerosols.
There are three types of disposable respirators, classified in increasing order
of efficiency as FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3. The concept of class here includes the
effectiveness of the filter, the absence of air-leakage around the face and the
breathing resistance.The protection provided depends on the class of the device,
and on whether the device is correctly fitted on the face.
For whom are they intended?
• Health-care professionals coming into contact with suspected or confirmed
cases of ‘flu.
• Recommended for the healthy population in the event of a ‘flu pandemic,
such as bird ‘flu.
•Workers in various industries: automotive, pharmaceutical, agro-food etc…
What labelling do they carry?
• CE marking and the number of the certifying body.
• Standard EN 149: 2001.
• FFP1, FFP2 or FFP3 classification, based on:
- filtration efficiency,
- total inward leakage,
- breathing resistance.

A Several different models are available with the following different features:
• shape: shell, flat fold (duckbill) etc…,
• whether they have a valve,
• filtration efficiency level: FFP1, FFP2 or FFP3.
The mask must fit the face (so that the mask lies flush against the face)
to ensure maximum protection.
Training of users is essential.Our masks are supplied with instructions for use
and related advice enabling to use the mask correctly.
